Program Placement Criteria

To ensure that our program is the right fit for prospective participants, we have established the following placement criteria. Please review the checklist below before applying:

1. Confirm Eligibility for Community Living BC (CLBC) Support:

  • The Roads Program is a CLBC-funded agency, and all participants must be approved for CLBC support before joining our program. For detailed information on CLBC eligibility, please visit their eligibility page.

2. Funding Approval:

  • Ensure that funding approval from CLBC for community inclusion services is secured before applying. Your CLBC facilitator will guide you through the application process and provide the necessary documentation to confirm eligibility.

3. Age Requirement:

  • Applicants must be 19 years of age or older.

4. Personal Suitability:

  • Demonstrated interest in participating in community-based activities and programs.

  • Ability to engage safely in both group and individual settings with appropriate support.

5. Health and Safety Considerations:

  • Medical stability to participate in program activities.

  • Provision of necessary medical information and emergency contacts.

6. Family and Support Network Involvement:

  • Active involvement of family or support network in the application and planning process.

  • Willingness to collaborate with Roads Program staff to develop and support individualized plans.

Application Process

Step 1: Confirm eligibility with CLBC by contacting your local CLBC office and completing the necessary assessments. Find your local CLBC office

Step 2: Once CLBC eligibility and funding are secured, your facilitator will reach out to us and submit an application for an intake meeting.

Step 3: Our team will review the application and may schedule an interview or orientation session to discuss individual goals and program fit.

Step 4: Once your admission has been approved, we schedule an orientation to ensure that the program is a good fit before we commit to a long-term position

Note: Meeting the above criteria does not guarantee placement, as admissions are also subject to program capacity and suitability assessments.
