Jake Flatt

Community Support Worker

If there’s one word to describe me, it’s goofball—and I wear that title proudly! I’ve been part of the Roads Program since 2007, and I love that my job lets me bring humour and lightheartedness into every day while making a real difference.

Being a Community Support Worker feels like second nature to me. Helping people has always come naturally, and I feel lucky to do work that feels so meaningful. Whether I’m cracking a joke to lift someone’s spirits or stepping in when someone needs a hand, I always try to show up with heart.

My favourite part of the job? Just being useful—showing up, helping out, and seeing the impact of those little moments. This place has become like a second home, and I’m proud to be part of a team that cares this much.
